LPC / LMFT Staff Therapist 


Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and well-rounded LPC/LMFT therapist who enjoys working with children and adolescents to join our treatment team. We specialize in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, general psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety, oppositional defiance, PTSD and substance abuse disorders. We also have an intensive outpatient program for clients who do not want or meet criteria for hospitalization. 


The Woodlands Behavioral Health and Wellness Center is a boutique out-patient mental health practice located in The Woodlands, which offers the following: 

  • Flexible working hours - the clinic is open from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 8 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm which allows clinicians to choose their own schedule. 
  • Generous above average contract rates – we are an out- of-network, private fee-for service practice which means we are not limited by health insurance in-network fee contracts. 
  • No insurance billing – treatment is focused on the client’s needs and not undermined by time spent working with insurance companies. 
  • Multidisciplinary team support – therapists participate as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team of LPCs or LMFTs, psychologists and psychiatrists who work together to treat the whole client and their significant others. 
  • Individualized treatment plans - Innovative treatment solutions are encouraged based on the client’s needs; there are no “cookie cutter” approaches to treatment. 
  • Convenient location – the office is in an easily accessible area of The Woodlands and surrounded by beautiful landscaping. 


Position Duties 

  • Assess, identify and diagnose mental health disorders 
  • Develop treatment plans/goals 
  • Provide individual and family therapy/counseling to children through adolescents 
  • Provide crisis intervention services to clients who are a danger to themselves or others 
  • Facilitate social skills and/or therapeutic groups 
  • Provide educational groups or workshops 
  • Work in collaboration with the other team members to contribute to the goal of providing integrated and focused quality treatment 
  • Contribute to client care by participating in clinical staff meetings to review client progress and update treatment plans 
  • Ensure documentation is entered into electronic health record and deadlines for completion are consistently met 
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory standards 
  • Participate in marketing activities as appropriate 


Requirements/Qualifications 

Applicants must: 

  • Hold a master's degree in mental health counseling, have completed supervised clinical hours, and passed the credentialing exam 
  • Have current Texas LPC or LFMT license 
  • Have experience and enjoy working with children and adolescents. 
  • Have training and experience providing CBT, behavior modification, family counseling and group therapy 
  • Have proven knowledge of how to establish goals/treatment objectives and how to modify treatment plans when necessary 
  • Be able to seek supervision and consultation when needed 
  • Appropriately collaborate with other staff to provide for a multidisciplinary approach 
  • Adhere to professional practice standards, ethical principles and legal standards in clinical practice 


Preferred but not required: 

  • PCIT training 
  • Experience with executive skills coaching 
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish

Clinical Psychologist


We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our growing practice. We are a private outpatient practice that does not bill insurance located in The Woodlands. We use an integrated treatment model, and our multidisciplinary treatment team includes psychologists, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, and licensed professional counselors. We provide thorough assessments and offer a wide range of treatment options for children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD and memory issues, autism spectrum disorders, general psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety, oppositional defiance, PTSD and substance abuse disorders. Additionally, we have an individualized intensive outpatient program for clients who do not want or meet requirements for hospitalization.


Position Duties 

  • Complete comprehensive diagnostic interviews with appropriate rating scales and provide written and oral feedback to clients regarding diagnostic impressions and recommendations for appropriate remediation of concerns including referrals and follow-up as required
  • Opportunities to conduct more specialized evaluations (i.e. neuropsychological or forensic/custody) if experienced
  • Provide therapy using evidence-based approaches
  • Provide education, counseling and family therapy to the parents and families of clients in treatment
  • Work closely with parents, teachers, school and college counselors to implement accommodations to academically and psychologically support children and college students with mental health disorders, if applicable
  • Opportunities to lead groups if interested
  • Provide crisis intervention services to clients who are a danger to themselves or others
  • Work in collaboration with the other team members to contribute to the goal of providing integrated and focused quality treatment
  • Contribute to client care by participating in clinical staff meetings to review client progress and update treatment plans

Requirements/Qualifications 

Applicants must: 

  • Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program and must have completed an APA approved clinical psychology internship.
  • Be licensed to practice Psychology in Texas by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
  • Have training and experience providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based modalities
  • Have proven ability to accurately perform psychological assessment, diagnosis, and intervention of clients ages 12 and older
  • Be competent in writing quality assessment reports
  • Have experience managing patient caseloads and submitting client charting by deadlines identified
  • Be able to seek supervision and consultation when needed
  • Appropriately collaborate with other staff to provide for a multidisciplinary approach
  • Adhere to professional practice standards, ethical principles, and legal standards in clinical practice
  • Stay current with new developments in clinical psychology through continuing education, training, professional societies and journals


Salary/Hours

Contract rate is based on experience/skills. Must be available to see clients during afternoon and/or evening hours Monday through Saturday however specific days/hours are negotiable. While the current position is being filled as part-time, there is an opportunity to build a full-time caseload.

Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board-Certified Child & Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team of neuropsychologists, psychologists, and licensed professional counselors. We are a private, outpatient practice that does not bill insurance located in The Woodlands, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders in young patients and will work closely with patients, families, our team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.


Requirements

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for children, adolescents and adults.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans including prescribing medications.
  • Collaborate with other team members ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and support to patients' families.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
  • Participate in team meetings.


Qualifications 

  • MD degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Texas.
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders in children, adolescents and adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
